Sorry for not posting my internet friends, but I've been caught in school and other ventures. Alas, there is little I can do about Real Life coming in and messing with my web life. Though, it's given me a little time to think about this little blog of mine.
More news late, here, have a drawing!

Short poem is short.
On a lovely early winter's day, I saw a deer cross the yard.
Under streetlamp and starlight, it pawed at apples frozen.
Surely there must be something there, I couldn't have raked them all.

Unintended Poetry Jam
For the three people who may or may not read this blog, I've started to post some rather random poetry on here. I suppose the reason for this is that I don't always have art to share and want to share something creative. Well, the poems one reads are on the spot creations exclusive to Single Artist.
Some of my prose is decent, sometimes strange, and more often than not just the pretentious garbling of a girl at her computer. However, I want to expand on different forms of creativity other than doodling on Walmart sketches with sharpies. On that note, I'll do as much pictures as the poetry saturation on this blog.

Doortstep in the Mind
For many days I've stood here,
at the edge of this reality.
The swirling forces beckon me to join their dance.
It's hard to say if I'll take the plunge.
The drop goes, down, down, down.
The distant winds of far-off worlds want me to rider their currents.
Only fear could they muster from me, I only wished to stay.
Never was I to take on the grand adventure.
All was fine in my mind, until the forces of change swept me off my feet.
So fell into the vortex of time,
My view on the universe changed so very quickly.
Unprepared was my young soul for the entirety of this life.
I so wished to go home.
After riding the currents of war and wonder,
I don't think I could go home.
Too changed to ever fit in.
I stand here on the doorstep of reality.
Should I return to familarity?
Can I put on the glamor of normality?
Why should I even go back?
Becuase my fear would only return.

Fake Gallery Poster
For the curious, this is bout as real as a ninja Godzilla. The poster you see before you was a project I did about a year ago for a class. I've always thought it had a great look to it but I never got around to uploading it anywhere.
As for the image itself, it was produced in Photoshop and then exported as a .PNG. The layout was inspired from a random google image of a poster and then was messed with a bit to give a more original edge. It's a decent little corner of my work I hope I'll actually make a reality in the near future.
