Streaming down the banks
I stand on the edge of the bridge.
My eyes fixed on the fish below.
They always seemed so small to me.
In their own little world.
My young mind wonders about them.
About how the must see the world.
Is it just the unending stream of water,
or do they look for more.
Strong questions for a six year old.
Perhaps just a touch too potent.
I drop my water bottle onto the ground,
thrusting me from that philosophical world.
My mother calls for me,
she tells me we have to keep going.
We've off to see the grandparents,
and my little sister is getting cranky.
So I take my leave and hope in the back.
Click, I'm fastened in.
I think back to those tiny little minnow.
Their wide eyes so obilvious to me.
Maybe, just maybe, this van of people are fishes themselves.
Swimming upstream to the lake of their youth.
Life must be so simple then, even if the truth hurts.

Unseen forces.
Onto the ocean, I see a distant sail;I wonder where it might be going.
Perhaps to a private villa,
or towards the open sea.
A sense of adventure overtook me,giving my mind an unfamiliar jolt.
I was never one to take a dare,
or let caution to the four winds.
In this moment I took the dive,
letting the world shape me.
The waters of distant horizons have come to claim me.
Oh how I my life has now changed.

Time Turner plushie
Time Turner IRL!
Yeah...I made him over the course of a weekend. I have no idea why I made him, but at least it kept me busy for while. Timer here is made out of fleece, felt, and quilting thread.

Pixelated
In my many artistic adventures over the years, I've tried and dabbled into different forms when they've tickled my fancy. One artform I've always admired is pixel graphics. I love how a person could create unique and often wondersome works using one pixel and a knack for colors. In knowing this, I started using pixel bases as a way to make armor and the like without making a brand new outline. Most of the pixeling I did was made up Power Ranger teams and other things I enjoy. So here's a showcase of some of my better pixels.

The abstract collective
I really should live up my blog's name, "A blog on abstract designs". I suppose I've been taking a break from such things, since I've been wanting to improve on other forms of art. So here's a small slice of more recent works.
